The lack of authenticity is a killer.

In the e-book I describe how emotions and the lack of expression thereof can create pain in the body.
When I had just become pain-free and realized that I could — and even had — to connect more deeply with my emotions, I felt like I went all in. I was pretty direct, maybe even blunt. I said what I felt, without much of a filter.
That wasn’t always easy for the people around me — my family, for example, or others close to me. Even with my clients, I noticed myself speaking more openly and emotionally than I was used to, and afterwards, it felt... unprofessional.
It felt like there was more tension or conflict, even if that wasn’t necessarily true. But that was my experience. I even remember saying once: “If only I still had the pain — feeling less would make life easier.”
Looking back, I realize that was nonsense — but I share it to say this: the inner conflict I experienced at the start of being pain-free and more in tune with my emotions had a real impact. It shook me more than I expected.
Now, I wouldn't want it any other way.
And just today, I came across a video that beautifully confirms exactly that.
In the video below, Gabor Maté explains the devastating — even killing — effect of a lack of authenticity. (The video starts right at the part where they dive into it.)
